Answer-similarity scoring compares a panel's individual responses against each other and produces a score for how alike they are — a way of quantifying, rather than just eyeballing, whether a set of personas gave genuinely varied answers or converged on nearly the same one.
Why it matters
A high similarity score is the clearest quantitative signal of mode collapse — personas that were supposed to represent different viewpoints producing near-identical text. Without a score attached, that pattern is easy to miss when skimming a panel's individual answers one at a time.
